You guys have uniform passes issued out 31 January 2025 that are valid until the 11 December 2025 & I don’t understand why a Pounamu - a culturally significant necklace is labelled a “Incorrect uniform item” Can your school not educate the staff instead? why should there be a card given to Maori wearing something that’s gifted to them. Majority of the time Pounamu are given to them when they’re younger, theres so many different rules to pounamu - some being that they can’t ever take it off. Absolutely disgusting
