Worst school. The teachers bully the kids who get bullied. Many I've met who'd attended EBIS 9 times out of 10 have winded up with severe anxiety, PTSD or Bulimia. A girl I knew attended there from 2018-2019. She got bullied so badly she ended up with CPTSD and anorexia nervosa. it's taken her years to realize it wasn't her fault. I recommend if you can afford it, Holy cross. Or an alternative go with SWISS. Stay away from EBIS, I am warning you right now it is extremely hard to fit in at EBIS. You also don't learn anything, the teachers don't help struggling students. Even today that girl can't handle going to Wellington without crying or having a PTSD attack
During my time at EBIS, I was severely bullied. I’m now 26, and those who bullied me back then continue to do so to this day. The teachers did nothing to address the bullying — if you reported an incident to them, they would tell you off in front of the whole class instead of having a private conversation with those involved. As a result, I never properly learned how to punctuate, and when I started college, I had to be tutored in Year 7 and 8 maths just to catch up on what I should have been learning at EBIS, instead of focusing on Year 9 work like my peers. Other than the bullying, I now have an amazing partner, whom I knew in Year 7 while he was finishing Year 8.
Find an alternative if you can. Bullying is rife. Even staff bully. Incompetent leadership and inexperienced teachers. High staff turnover says it all.
