If you want your child to be labelled and put in a box, bring them here.
If you want your child to have autism or ADHD Anu (the head teacher) will give it to them. She wont say it directly but will advise you to take your child to be seen by a GP and then send you emails of parenting classes for children with autism😂. It was not until I spoke with her directly about this that she told me it may be a good idea to get him checked out for this.
They say they encourage the kids not to label too but on the first day the kids were calling my boy naughty all because he wouldnt sit on the mat or listen to the teacher. I dont expect my kid to listen to strangers on the first day, and I know if my son doesn't like someone he definitely won't listen. All the other teachers were friendly though.
Now i was a mental health nurse and tried to work with the teachers. They advised we go to parenting classes, we did (but not one for children with autism🙄) only to realise that we weren't having these parenting problems that everyone else was, we weren't even having the problems the kindergarten was. I called a professional on autism to discuss the issues that the kindergarten were facing, lo behold they told me they don't believe he has autism but is displaying behaviours of a 3yr old child😱. Now before he went here he could spell his own name, lnew his alphabet and numbers and i was able to teach him to write his name after. So what they taught him..i dont know.
To make things worse, the environment is not the best. I had walked in twice on a child attacking my son. Now my son a big boy and is able to hold his own, but because of that they blamed him for not letting the smaller boy hit him? My point, if you have a smaller, softer child, beware.
Anyway, i had to move my child to another kindy becaude we were just not able to sort things out with the teachers. At the new kindy the teachers are always praising him and said they dont see any signs of autism. Living the good life now👍🏾.
