It's a really good school and the teachers there are great, year 7 sucks and feels for everlasting but year 8 is amazing. There's also so many mufti days. I came from a small primary and i didn't know anyone but there were so many groups that were willing to let me join them and i felt like i really belonged. There is some bullying but alot of the teachers will not let you (or said bully) call you racist, homophobic, transphobic or rude names/slurs, tbh in our class you're not even allowed to call someone a snitch. Dont try to do anything stupid in year 7 like vaping, talking back or dumb stuff until year 8 and know your place, i dont mean it i a rude way but if you act like a wannabe in yr7 it will just make things worse and you dont look cool, and to yr 8's; you dont rule the school, you/we were literally yr7s too and think about the influence you have on younger ones.
Alot of lgbtq+ kids go there and theirs so many "clubs" to join, also w bullying theres like at least 3 therapy things to go to (equine therapy, sport related and journaling thing to build confidence.) just talk to whaea pam about whats happening bc shes lovley, though i dont really know her but i hear about her lots <33 i also really like whaea cass and whaea emma because they rock and care about you & youre learning.
such a cool school and really reccomend, i started off shy but i feel alot more confident now. upset that im leaving (to either karamu or hghs.) :( love everyone.
