Photography class

Disappointed

Our experience with this school was actually really good. Only negative was a certain photography teacher (NOT the department head) who liked to pick one student from each class and make their life hell. She literally accuses students of being rude to her when she is the rude one. Won’t allow students to use the bathroom during class - and classes are double in length each.) Teacher doesn’t admit when she has made a mistake and will accuse students of being wrong. Also she didn’t know what she was doing at all this year as she isn’t even qualified to be teaching this department, but makes students teach the class all so she can criticise everyones work like she even has a clue. My child really enjoyed this class until she got this woman and now she’s considering quitting school altogether to just not see her anymore. Don’t take photography if you get JL.

Shit school tbh

This was the worst school I have ever been to and since I have left (2020) it has gone downhill again… I have a younger sibling who has just started and they are absolutely lost in the system already.

Back in 2018 I fell down the stairs in ’c block’ and tore muscles and ligaments in my left knee, when I went to the principal and office staff about this as it’s a health and safety issue I was told it was my own fault I had fallen when the stairs had no grip whatsoever

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE.

Me and most of my other friends got sexually assaulted by other students during our time at KHS. And nothing was done about it or felt like we were doing something wrong by telling. Though the teachers are wonderful and very kind, not to mention when I went there, they try their hardest every day mostly because it is the type of school where you must put in the work if you want to get anywhere in life like any other school, but most don't and do not care about those that want to learn around them and that can be annoying. Also, the principals are terrible like I noted at the start no closure was done for me or my friends which has caused pain and trauma for most of us. Also don't choose Huanui my siblings and mom's friends children go there, and no matter how wealthy your family is it was a very classist and racist school who let's student's get away with some pretty sick things. honestly if anything choose Spring bank College from what I have heard it is worth the money
