They handle conflict amongst students horribly and often misjudge situations and give punishments to the wrong students. Cafeteria food is so overpriced. Some teachers are kind and funny and great teachers but others not so much.
i havent been to many schools but this is by far the worst. a significant downgrade from OJC which i thought would be difficult. i dont think i have learnt a single thing while here to be honest. i also don’t think the school is very good from a safety standpoint either. i have several safety concerns like the heavy stuff hanging from the ceiling and the fact that i think it would be impossible to escape a fire if you were wheelchair bound on the top floor.
This is going to sound fake coming from a student lol but I genuinely love OSC. Most of the staff (both teaching & non teaching) genuinely care about their students. They treat us like actual young adults and not like children.
I also love how diverse the school is, not only in terms of culture but also beliefs and upbringing. It’s the perfect balance between discipline and chill.
I’m in university now and I can honestly say that OSC’s iTimes & independent learning styles have made the transition easier. It taught me to manage my time, take ownership of my studies, AND most importantly, how to ask for help when you need it.
Overall great school in terms of academic, teaching, activities. however needs ways to find stolen items, lost 2 items in just a week, 2nd item was gone from original spot after 5-10 minutes of not being around it
