St Mary's College (Ponsonby)

The teachers are awful for many reasons, 1. they are terrible at teaching you literally learn nothing and some teachers just let students do whatever they want. 2. Teachers will literally talk to students so poorly and freak out when they are spoken too 1000x less badly, they all are immature and talk about students badly to other classes and teachers. The school only focusses on smart students and talented students and leave the ones who actually need support to rot away. The principal is fake and acts as if she is so kind to parents but when your one on one with her she shows her true self which is a bitch. Students are all annoying and talk badly about each other even senior years talk about juniors. This school is honestly the worst in the country

It is a very bad school. All students no matter what year bully girls, talk about each other badly, and are just awful. All teachers and staff care about is how people see the school, none of them can mind their own business and genuinely treat students like dirt, they do anything they can to have a reason to yell at students. Teachers also are just so terrible at teaching some girls have to do their own study at lunch times. Please do not send you daughter here she will be miserable.

The school's a bit boring honestly and some of the teachers aren't very good but the students are nice.
I've had experiences with teachers who are so genuinely bad at teaching that students would have to have class-wide study sessions at lunches where we taught each other because our teacher wouldn't. Some teachers refuse to use a student's preferred pronouns or names and that can have a negative effect on the students.
Also, some of the deans can be very strict with detentions. Students including myself have received detentions for having their hair down, being late to school, or wearing earrings that aren't silver or gold studs. We also aren't allowed to wear our cardigan outside our school including the journey to and from school, however, everyone breaks this rule as we're not sure why this rule is in place.
In conclusion, an average school, rather boring at times.
