Te Mata School (Havelock North)

The principal cares more about her image and trying to make the parents think she is great rather than the childs school experience. Money is more important than students. She is never outside interacting with the children at morning tea or lunchtime. The only time she is outside is at drop off and pick up or where she can perform in front of parents.
The teachers are fantastic and do amazing work in spite of how they are treated by management, but they are undervalued and micro-managed poorly by the principal. Staff morale is very low but they always provide excellent learning experiences for the children.
Was a way better school when the previous principal was there. Now the ideas have gone back to old school, top down management. Sad.
