My son used to go to this school. He worked his derrière off day in and day out to stay on top of his work, sacrifice his own working time to help others succeed, sacrifice his own holiday time to help trainers during holiday short courses, and get the highest grades of his peers. My son achieved everything he set out to do, and then some.
There were other students who barely took anything seriously, those who put significantly less time/ effort into their work, and those who scraped by with bare minimum effort.
My son, who had achieved so much and helped so many, was still viewed as the same as the rest of the crowd. He was not.
Students who were notably and objectively less deserving, had received all sorts of awards and recognition, whereas the most my son got was a chance to be nominated for an award he would never receive.
As someone who had sacrificed so much, time, money, emotion, energy, relationships and more to succeed and help the whole unit succeed, he was shattered when all he received for his extra effort was the same piece of paper everyone else got, while others who performed far below and had little to no sacrifice received praise, awards and cash prizes.
This decimated my son’s passion in what he enrolled here to nurture his passion for. He could hardly bring himself to put any amount of effort into his passion projects for over two months. Working constant late nights and early mornings several days a week every week for over a year in order to be above the he crowd had left irreparable damage to his bodily systems, and caused his already seesawing mental health to take a deep dive for the worst.
That above is what hurt me the most as a parent. My son will write some below this.
Hello, son here. If you want to leech off of others for a free grade, and coast along doing the bare minimum and get a qualification as a result, this is a great choice for you.
The teachers or as they call themselves trainers’ will sit on their behind all day, getting a free paycheck. I can count with my fingers the amount of lectures we received per term. The ‘excellence in education’ they spout on and on about is a load of nonsense. You’re paying them to be told to google everything. They make you google everything they’re supposed to ‘teach’ you and either turn you away or downright ignore you when asking for help. I once filed a complaint about this style of ‘teaching’ which they dragged me to a meeting room for and told me I’m wrong for expecting to be taught anything. One quote that really struck me was "if you get a new job and your boss tells you to do something, and you ask him to tell you how it’s done, he’s going to laugh in your face and fire you". Fascinating ‘educational’ institute. If you ever try to question the powers above, they WILL strike you down. They expect you to show up even when deathly ill because attendance is more important than health to them. A student had a very important surgery, let them know, and was kicked out for missing classes without the chance to finish the papers they paid for.
All in all, if you’re a potato you’re good to go here, but if you have any sense of self worth, and don’t like to take crud from hypocritical tyrants, just google everything you want to learn instead of paying to get told to google it. ChatGPT is a great learning tool that could easily substitute years of learning here.
I was going to do the L7 Cloud Management course for the extra certification, but I can’t bring myself to blow more time money and energy on this establishment.
If after reading all this you still want to enrol, make sure to follow these tips:
- never question the authority in the room on ANYTHING, especially when they are wrong
- Complete all your work within the timeframe
- never engage in any drama at all
- attend every single day, even when sick. Less than 90% attendance and they will withhold your diplomas
- don’t assist during holiday short courses, ambassador outings or onsite events, as it is completely unrewarded both financially and academically
