Wainui School

I am writing as a father of a yer 5 student attending this school want give my honest review and overall this school is a total mess. Always in the kids asses and are super petty towards them. Every assembly has started off with negative news and what the kids have done wrong and nothing good. I know the school wants the best and try to push them but they're pushing them too far and expect far to much from these young students. So many bullies and fights they aren't taken care of. I recommend sending your child to another school where they will be in a safe environment where the teachers care and look after the students and listen because this is unacceptable and I expect better from wainui school due to having gillan bary as a princilple

I really enjoyed going here, some of the best years of my childhood but I don’t know if it’s changed. The teachers are mostly really nice and supportive and they care about hands - on work in school and try to support you and how your’e doing academically. Again I don’t know if it’s changed but I would send your kids here for sure. However I did leave at year 6 because I think at that point their teaching just doesn’t fit the standards of a year 7 and 8 level (but that’s just my opinion because I wanted to do really well but if your’e ok with your kids being a little behind when they go to an intermediate school then it’s fine) also opportunities for year 7 and 8s are quite few but they definitely try. Overall really good school amazingly nice teachers.
