It's lowkey kinda shite
Half of the school population are bullies (including teachers), main counselor is no help, all the good teachers leave, the new class schedule where everything is 90 minutes is awful and I can guarantee all the students hate it. Teachers do nothing about bullying. Canteen food is class tho

reallllllly bad school. do not recommend. but tbh tridents worse. counsillors r trash asf. especially the ranga one. shes a bish. canteen food isnt that good and lwk expensive. bullying is common. i never got bullied but ik heaps of people who did. uniform is trash and kinda expensive.

no pies at canteen, teachers are meh, but most people are all goods so its alright. better than trident at least.
Realistic expectations 👌
My son isn't a bullie nor has he been bullied. I can't say he loves school, but he attends willingly most days.
Very impressed with the Teachers and heads of school. Always contact us if any thing crops up, and always available for appointments if he want to discuss anything regarding our son. Teachers went the extra mile over lockdown. Have had great feed back over our sons progression throughout his time at the school.

Whakatane High School
Horrible kids. Your kid will only enjoy their time there if they are the bullies. Half the teachers don’t care about the wellbeing of students, i can’t wrap my head around why half the teachers are there when they clearly hate their job and they take it out on students. The toilets are disgusting i don’t know how on earth it passes health & safety guidelines.
